(More customer reviews)Unfortunately I didn't realize before ordering this product that according to the manufacturer it must be kept refrigerated.Even though the label very clearly states this has to be kept cold and is shipped by the manufacturer in refrigerated trucks, for some reason it is still sold through the Amazon web site and shipped standard UPS, which will of course subject your package to long periods of room temperature or perhaps even warm or hot conditions.With this product, you don't want that...
Fortunately in my case I received a prompt refund, but I'd recommend you avoid the hassle and buy it at your local store and treat it like any grocery item which needs to be kept refrigerated.You wouldn't order a carton of milk through Amazon and use it after it arrived via standard UPS shipping - the same applies here.If you are wondering whether a particular item needs to be kept refrigerated or not, check the manufacturer web site before ordering through Amazon - I'm going to be doing that from now on for all items like this one...
